Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all celebrating this weekend!
No matter your plans for Sunday, your mission is to make sure you have a DAYTIME DRESS-UP outfit at the ready - at all times.
Night-time dress-up is actually easier since most of us have a cocktail dress or go-to LBD that we can pull out and accessorize and go.
Daytime dressy looks can be trickier, so let's use today as an excuse to think it out and have a plan for those inevitable invitations.
If you've been around for a while, you know my #buythedress moto. You also know I'm not a fan of willy-nilly shopping and buying.
HOWEVER, I do feel strongly that when you see a perfect-for-you dress (or jumpsuit, or pants outfit, etc.) that is occasion-worthy - you need to JUMP on it. That way, when the occasion presents itself, you're good to go.
Emergency Occasion Dressing is NEVER good.
Believe me, I know of what I speak. I've been there myself, and I've been on the helping side more time than I can count - and either way, it's sweat-producing and stressful. NO BUENO.
So let's all commit to identifying some occasion-ready looks and make sure they are ready to go, from head-to-toe.
I like that - ready to go, from head-to-toe. Say it with me, girls!
And what I mean by that is not just "the dress", but the jewelry, the bag, the SHOES, the undergarments. All. of. it.
See below for some ideas.
