Weekend Update 7/23/23

1. Tipsy Tuesday – Summer Dress Tip: The “Boring” Black/Navy Dress Revived
In the summer, dresses are just the easiest way to #justgetdressed, while staying cool and looking chic. I’m all for fun (and also love a white sundress) but you can never go wrong with a solid black or navy day dress. They are sweat-and-stain-proof, hide wrinkles, give a sleek unbroken line to your body, and just look CHIC, especially when paired with modern accessories.

2. What I bought at the Nordstrom Sale:
So, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still “on” and is now open to everyone. I have received my order and was pleasantly surprised with a few of my purchases. Here are the items that I’m keeping that are still available. And here is my catalog of picks in case you missed it. You can tell below that my strategy with the sale is to invest in versatile, neutral pieces – and pieces that are replacing similar items that have gotten worn out or tired after years of wear. I know that’s a lot of tan/neutral suede right there..but it’s definitely my most versatile go-to shoe color. I actually got the loafer mules in the ivory/bone leather (no longer available) but the tan probably makes more sense for me, and I may exchange. And here’s some more neutrals….
These pieces may look boring, but I’m also expecting my FALL 2023 CAbi samples any day now, and that will include lots of color, pattern, and texture.
