Weekend Update 8/13/23

Hello and welcome to the Weekend Update!

1. Tipsy Tuesday Ten- Random Items I’m Currently Using and Loving

Every season I share some of the random items I’m using in my everyday life and this week includes some clothing finds, accessories, beauty products, a book and some home finds…including a quick home tour (that turns psychedelic at the end thanks to fumbling fingers and whacky Facebook features).

2. The Red Dress in Action (other color options too)

I found out about this dress from my friend Olise, and have to say it’s became a favorite. As I talked about above, red is (ironically) a hot color this fall.  It’ll work perfectly for my casual lifestyle, but also for upcoming events in the late summer and fall.

If you don’t like wearing a belt you can get away with this flowy dress without getting lost in it, because it has some nice seaming under the best and an open neckline. I love it both ways.

Cliff’s Note version: short torso = thinner belts, long torso = wider belts,  proportionate torso = either work.

I took one for the team on this hot summer day and also styled it for the FALL to show you just some of the possibilities.

My advice is to keep the topper on the shorter side (in the hip-bone-zone), and the more fitted the topper, the more you can give the dress some shape. I show with my trusty denim jacket and ,  this shorter cream cardigan and, and this fabulous, tailored cream blazer takes it to work too.  I think it would look sharp with black sandals or boots and a black blazer/moto/jacket too. The belt set includes a black one too. 

Now, I’m putting some solidly SUMMER clothes back on and getting back to my Sunday. 😎
